| Bon, je pense que tout le monde ici reçoit deja la newsletter, mais je poste ça quand même - Citation :
- LITTLE MAN TATE 'ABOUT WHAT YOU KNOW'
The debut album released 29th January 2007 on Yellow Van Records
Following a spectacular 2006, Sheffield quartet Little Man Tate launch into 2007 with the release of their stunning debut album 'About What You Know' on 29th January on Yellow Van Records.
In just eighteen hugely eventful months since forming, and less than a year after signing a record deal, Jon Windle (vocals), Maz (guitar), Ben Surtees (bass) and Dan Fields (drums) have chalked up three exhilarating top 40 singles, completed a string of riotous sold out tours, including show-stealing performances at the Reading and Leeds Festivals and their biggest headline show to date at Sheffield's 1600 capacity Octagon, and become one of the most exciting new guitar bands in the country.
As the title suggests, this hotly anticipated debut album is lead singer Jon Windle's masterclass in autobiographical storytelling. Oozing heart and soul, the album is full of true stories and a cast of colourful characters, combining a touch of Steel City realism with a healthy does of suburban hedonismIt was recorded at Lincolnshire's Chapel Studios and produced by Elliot James, who cut his teeth working alongside Paul Epworth on Bloc Party, The Rakes and The Futurehead's debut albums and counts The Sunshine Underground and The Fields among his own production credits.
Full of Little Man Tate's classic, big hearted songs, 'About What You Know' is a debut album of such depth and quality that the band's sold out, ultra rare debut single 'The Agent' and its top 40 follow up 'What? What You Got' don't even make the cut.
It does however feature the outrageously catchy top 40 single 'House Party At Boothy's' and the current swaggering top 30 smash 'Man I Hate Your Band'. A new single, 'Sexy In Latin' will be released on 22nd January.
The track list for 'About What You Know' is:
1) Man I Hate Your Band
2) European Lover
3) Sexy In Latin
4) This Must Be Love
5) House Party At Boothys
6) Who Invented These Lists?
7) Court Report
8 ) Little Big Man
9) 3 Day Rule
10) This Girl Isn't My Girlfriend
11) Down On Marie
A limited edition version of the album will also be made available and will include a DVD featuring all the band's video's so far as well as exclusive live footage of the band from their sold out show at The Plug in Sheffield on 29th April 2006.
The track list will be:
1) What? What You Got?
2) House Party At Boothys
3) Man I Hate Your Band
4) Young Offenders (Live at The plug)
5) House Party At Boothys (Live at The Plug)
6) Hello Miss Lovely (Live at The Plug)
Meanwhile, Little Man Tate have just completed their first American tour and Japanese dates. With the likes of Mike Myers and Johnny Knoxville in the crowd in New York and stories of lost equipment, lost passports and lost minds filtering back to the UK, there should already be plenty of material for the next album.
You can catch the Little Man Tate live at the following venues:
24th November Amsterdam Paradiso Â? London Calling
25th Aldershot West End Centre
26th Exeter Cavern
28th Penzance Acorn Centre
29th Bournemouth Old Fire Station
